IRS 501(c)(3) Status:

As of October 2001 The Kestrel Box is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization.  This status is retroactive in the sense that all donations made to The Kestrel Box during 2001 may be claimed on your tax return as charitable donations.  Future donations will also be tax-deductible.  We appreciate Ryan Pace of Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. who donated his time to help us with the paperwork and make this possible.

Are donations Tax Deductible?

Yes.  We are not tax preparers and we encourage you to visit with your own tax preparer for tax advice, but The Kestrel Box is a registered 501(c)(3) charity and as such donations made to it are tax-deductible (This includes all donations made during 2001, even those made before we received 501(c)(3) status).
