About The Kestrel Box

an Arizona Non-Profit Corporation

Based in Chandler, Arizona USA the Kestrel Box is a non-profit educational corporation that is dedicated to the subject of birds of prey.  Although the web-site with it's signature kestrel-box web-cam has been in operation since late 1998, The Kestrel Box was formally organized as an Arizona Non-Profit Corporation in January of 2001.   In October 2001 the IRS recognized us as a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization.

Our purpose is to educate the public about birds of prey.  Current projects sponsored by The Kestrel Box and our volunteers include the annual Kestrel-Box Web-Cam shown on this web site, live bird educational presentations, volunteer service at the Adobe Mountain Wildlife rehabilitation center and our Birds of Prey educational pages which contain information on various species of birds of prey.
